Supervision

Professional development, guidance and support for your wellbeing as a practitioner

Support, learning, collaboration

My approach to supervision runs parallel to my approach to client work. I want to work alongside you to create an open, non-shaming and creative space in which to support your practice and development as a therapist. I bring substantial professional experience to my work as a supervisor in both Higher Education and the third sector, as well a decade of my own clinical practice. My commitment is to provide a holding relationship built on the foundation of mutuality, respect and reflexivity to support your learning, development and wellbeing. My aim is to create a supervisory experience which is supportive, elucidating and enjoyable. My clinical practice has long involved working with processes around shame and anxiety, many of which can be present in supervision, and I have significant experience of creating safe relationships in which we can hold these processes and create a rich, relational dynamic in which we can together make space for all of you, regardless of your stage of development or the modality in which you work. I am committed to anti-oppressive, ethical, inclusive, intersectional work.

I completed my Diploma in Counselling Supervision at Physis Scotland bringing to fruition a long-standing interest in teaching and support which began when I worked in Higher Education and was a member of the Higher Education Academy.

If you’d like to discuss supervision please contact me and we can arrange an initial session. My fee is £65 per hour and we can discuss the frequency of meetings which best suit your needs and workload.
